Pastor Eric Akyea
Attended Mfantsipim School and had his under-graduate studies at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), from where he graduated with honors in Social Science. He also holds a degree in Accounting from Miller-Motte College and read MBA (Finance) at the University of Luton, United Kingdom ( UK ).
His career path started with Ghana Water Company Limited ( Accra , Ghana ) as a Commercial Officer and most recently with Wake Health Services ( Raleigh , North Carolina , USA ) as an Accountant before entering full-time Ministry in August 2011.
His call to service in God’s Vineyard started in the Protocol and Public Affairs Department of Royal Chapel Int. (RCI). He served at both the Mother Church (Ahenfie in Ghana ) and South London Mission ( UK ), where he became the head of the protocol team.
Due to his fervor for service, Eric was made a pastor in March of 2006 and served under Rev. DalKeith Amanor at the East London Mission of RCI (UK) from 2006 to 2007.
He is now the senior pastor of Raleigh, North Carolina Mission, which transitioned from a house-fellowship of two into a church in Jan. 2011. Under His stewardship, this mission daily experiences God’s presence through growth and testimonies.
As a passionate and an insightful teacher and preacher, the pervading theme of Ps. Eric’s message is getting ‘saints’ to be well acquainted with the infallible Word of God and to give themselves to prayer for a victorious life. Additionally, he has the knack to identify, encourage and equip most especially, new converts to use their God-given talents to serve.
Eric Akyea lives in Raleigh , North Carolina , USA with his wife, the very pretty Marilyn Akyea, a Cardiac Nurse at Duke University Hospital and together, they are blessed with three wonderful children (Trinity, Amarissa, and Levi).
