Mama Marilyn attended Accra Girls Secondary School and proceeded to Korle-bu Nurses Training College where she trained as a Registered Nurse. She worked at Korle-bu Teaching Hospital the premier hospital of Ghana), for a year before relocating to the USA.

While in the USA, she furthered her education at Chamberlain College of Nursing and obtained a Baccalaureate of Nursing. She currently works full time as a Cardiothoracic Nurse at Duke University Hospital, while assisting her husband in ministry.

Mama Marilyn joined International Bible Worship Center (IBWC) but now Royalhouse Chapel International in 1994 and became a member Covenant Family Ministry (CFM).

 

Through her dedication and commitment to the church and CFM, she was assigned a role to serve on the Protocol Ministry, where she performed with distinction. She is the President of the Royal Ladies and the Christian Services Ministry of our Raleigh Mission.

Mama Marilyn Akyea lives in Raleigh , North Carolina , USA with her husband, Pastor Eric Akyea and together, they are blessed with three wonderful children (Trinity, Amarissa, and Levi).
